An online shop where customers find and order what they are looking for.

A shop sells when customers quickly find what they are looking for, understand what it costs and when it arrives, and can pay without a hurdle. Orders get lost at each of these steps. This page shows exactly where, and what we do about it.

Where it goes wrong

Where orders get lost

Pure online shop or store with a web shop: these are the places that cost the most orders.

  1. Thin product pages

One photo, one sentence from the manufacturer, a price: that is not enough to buy, and it appears word for word in many other shops. Dimensions, material, care, your own photos and answers to typical questions make the page valuable for customers and search engines.

  2. A checkout with hurdles

A mandatory customer account, long forms, the usual payment method missing: this is where buyers give up. Guest checkout, few fields and the payment methods your customers use help.

  3. Shipping costs only at the end

Whoever only sees in the last step what shipping costs and when the parcel arrives feels caught out. Shipping costs, delivery time and returns belong on the product page.

  4. Data protection and mandatory details

Trackers or fonts that load before consent, a cookie banner without a real reject option, a missing legal notice: in Germany this can lead to formal warnings from competitors or lawyers.

  5. Slow on a phone

Large images and many plugins make shops slow, and on a phone nobody waits long for a product page.

What we do

What we do for retailers

We build shops you can maintain yourself and take care of the places where orders get lost. Two of them you can check yourself right now with our free tools.

  • A shop you maintain yourself

You change products, prices and stock without a developer. We choose the system by your range and your processes, not by fashion.

  • Product pages with substance

A fixed structure for dimensions, material, shipping and questions, and texts that explain why this product. If you like, we write them with you.

  • Data protection from the first visit

Fonts hosted locally, trackers only after consent, a banner with a real reject option. Our privacy check shows what your shop loads on a first visit without consent.

  • Measure and improve speed

Our website check measures speed and usability on phone and desktop with Google’s figures. Then you know whether images, plugins or the theme slow you down.

  • Orders that move on by themselves

Order confirmation, shipping notice, invoice and the request for a review run automatically between shop, inventory system and email.

Shops we have built

We have built two online shops for hosiery and underwear, both of them live. Our references show the projects we present publicly.

Retail in your city

If you also have a store: how people in Cologne, Düsseldorf, Bonn and Essen search for stores and products, and how store and shop work together.

Frequently asked questions

Shopify, WooCommerce or something custom?

It depends on your range, volume and processes. For a small shop with few variants a ready-made system is often enough. With many variants, B2B prices or a link to your inventory system, things look different. We compare the options with you before we build.

Which details are mandatory in a German online shop?

Among others: legal notice (Impressum), privacy policy, cancellation policy, total prices including VAT, shipping costs and an order button with a clear label such as “zahlungspflichtig bestellen” (order with obligation to pay). The exact texts should come from a lawyer or a legal text service; we build them in correctly. This is not legal advice.

Why do customers abandon the checkout?

Common reasons are unexpected shipping costs, a mandatory account, missing payment methods and long forms. Which one it is for you is shown by your shop’s data when the checkout steps are measured, with the visitors’ consent.

Does my shop need a cookie banner?

Only if it loads cookies or services that are not technically necessary, for example for analytics or advertising. Then consent has to come before loading, and rejecting has to be as easy as accepting. Our privacy check shows what your shop loads before consent.

Can I connect my store and my online shop?

Yes: shared stock, pickup in store, your store in the Google profile with a link to the shop. How much of it makes sense depends on your till and inventory system. We clarify that in the first call.
