A signature that looks like your business.
Fifteen ready-made designs, your logo or photo, social media icons and a button for bookings: fill in your details and paste the signature into Gmail, Outlook or Apple Mail. Free, no sign-up.
Everything happens in your browser
The signature is built on this page. We store nothing, and your logo is never uploaded.
Details
One or two lines. Leave it empty if you do not want to show an address.
For example your opening hours or a short sentence about what you offer.
Social media
A link or a username, for example @yourbusiness. Anything left empty does not appear. Instagram, Facebook, LinkedIn and TikTok are trademarks of their owners; the icons only link to your profile.
Mandatory details
In Germany, registered merchants and companies such as a GmbH, UG or AG must include certain details in business emails. For a GmbH these are, for example, legal form, registered office, register court, register number and all managing directors. If you are unsure which details apply to your business, ask your tax adviser or your chamber of commerce (IHK).
Appears in small print below the signature. Line breaks are kept.
Design
Pick a design to start from. The previews show your details; where something is still missing, placeholders stand in. You can change everything afterwards.
Colour and type
Logo and photo
Works in Gmail, Outlook and Apple Mail. The image has to be public, for example on your website: right-click the image, “Copy image address”. Some recipients only see images once they allow them.
Icons
The icons are small images on clypi.de. Your recipients’ mail app loads them from there when the email is opened, like any image from the web; our server then receives the usual technical data such as the IP address. If you do not want that, choose “Text only” and switch off the contact icons.
Extras
All optional. Anything left empty does not appear in the signature.
Copy and paste
Enter your name or your company and your signature appears here.
This is how your signature looks in a new email.
Everything happens in your browser; we store nothing. Only if you choose “Remember my entries in this browser” does a draft stay in your browser, until you delete it. For image addresses, your browser loads the image straight from there to read its size. The icons in the finished signature are loaded from clypi.de by your recipients’ mail apps.
How to add the signature
Click “Copy signature” above and paste it with Ctrl+V, or cmd+V on a Mac. Then send a test email to yourself.
- Open Gmail in your browser, click the gear icon “Settings” at the top right, then “See all settings”.
- On the “General” tab, go to the “Signature” section and click “Create new”. Give the signature a name.
- Click into the text box and paste the signature.
- Below it, choose whether the signature is used for new emails and replies, then click “Save Changes” at the very bottom.
Gmail allows 10,000 characters at most and does not show embedded images in signatures. Use a logo address, or add the logo with the image button above the text box.
New Outlook and Outlook on the web
- Click the gear icon “Settings” and choose “Accounts”, then “Signatures”.
- Add a new signature and give it a name.
- Paste the signature into the text box, choose when it is used and click “Save”.
Classic Outlook for Windows
- Open a new email and on the “Message” menu choose “Signature”, then “Signatures”.
- Click “New”, enter a name and paste the signature under “Edit signature”.
- Under “Choose default signature”, pick when it appears and click “OK”.
If you use Outlook on several devices or also on the web, set up the signature in each of them.
- In Mail on your Mac, choose “Mail”, then “Settings”, and click “Signatures”.
- Select the account on the left and add a new signature with the plus button below the middle column.
- Turn off “Always match my default message font”, otherwise Mail replaces fonts and colours.
- Paste the signature into the right-hand column. Mail saves it when you close the window.
The signature belongs to the selected account. For other accounts, select it there or add it the same way.
